EXPERIENCE

Driltek, Inc.

2014-Current

Senior Project Engineer

  • Responsible for designing and executing completions and workovers - job tasks include engineering design, cost estimation, service and material procurement, on-site job reporting and supervision, regulatory correspondence and compliance, and post-modem review.
  • Designed and implemented rig move optimization project in the Permian Basin that reduced rig move times by 50% and has resulted in $18MM cost reduction for operators over 18 months.
  • Designed and/or executed 80 workover-completion-abandonment events.
  • Provided onsite supervision for multi-stage fracture stimulation completions in the Powder River Basin, Buda Lime, and San Joaquin Valley.
  • Regulatory lead for California SB-4 compliance (hydraulic fracturing and well stimulation regulation) – responsibilities include permit application preparation, submittal and continuous external relations with California’s Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR), State Water Resources Control Board and Regional Water Quality Control boards.

Occidental of Elk Hills, Inc.

2012-2014

Senior Project Engineer - Bakersfield, CA

  • Responsible for identifying, designing, and executing development and surveillance work over opportunities for the Stevens Waterflood Team.
  • Designed and installed various artificial lift systems: electric submersible pumps, gas lift units, and hydraulic jet pumps.
  • Identified, designed, and executed various stimulation/conformance operations: scale squeezes, coil tubing acidizing, hydraulic fracturing, gas and water isolation.
  • Led effort to identify safest and most efficient short and long-term strategy for centralized gas lift operations as part of the Low Temperature Separation and Gas Lift Long-Term Strategy Team.

Staff Completions Engineer

  • Responsible for designing/executing development and exploratory completions/workovers in dry gas, oil, and gas condensate reservoirs in the San Joaquin, Ventura and Sacramento Basins.
  • Designed and executed 400+ fracture stimulation operations with varying techniques (e.g. ball drop, coil frac, and plug and perf).
  • Accountable for $63MM completions capital budget (71 new well completions in 76 weeks).
  • Reduced completion time to market by 30% and completion cost by 25% by optimizing execution logistics and developing/ analyzing field specific stimulation performance databases.
  • Managed in-field completion operations, vendor logistics and capital and new drill scheduling.
  • QA/QC'd completions and workover procedures for other engineers and developed field execution standards.
  • Developed contracts for stimulation, perforating and coiled tubing services.
  • Supported Business Development on multiple acquisitions.
  • Created and submitted various DOGGR permit applications.
